Chelsea defender, Mamadou Sarr, has named his three World Cup heroes amid the ongoing 2026 edition of the tournament.

Sarr is currently with the Senegal national football team at the World Cup.

The 20-year-old is yet to feature for the Teranga Lions as he was an unused substitute against Senegal and Norway.

Sarr, however, will now hope to feature for Senegal in their last Group I clash on Friday.

When asked about his World Cup heroes, Sarr said, as quoted by Chelsea’s website, “There is Lionel Messi, Sadio Mane, and Paul Pogba – with Pogba he is a leader.

“He has the right mentality in the group to lead.”
